Dana Kunze announces plans to set a NEW WORLD RECORD for the highest dive by performing his patented Reverse Triple Somersault (Triple Gainer) from the incredible height of 180'.
Dana Kunze, holder of the current World Record at a height of 172', is in training once again! His previous world record was established in 1983 at Sea World in California. That high diving show, which was aired on ABC’s Wide World of Sports, took place nearly 30 years ago. And at the age of 48, it seems that the 8x World Champion and 7x World Record Holder isn't quite done amazing the world just yet! As he put it...
"I'm not be as good as I once was, but I'm as good once as I ever was!"

High Diving & Water Show Career:
Dana has performed in, produced and/or directed water shows worldwide since 1974. He began diving professionally at the very young age of thirteen and brought to the “Dare Devil” sport a refreshing multi-faceted approach with a wide range of multiple somersaulting and twisting dives from levels of 80’, 90’ and 100’. In addition to his hilarious clown diving talents, Dana’s springboard and acrobatic skills were second to none.
Dana earned his first World Championship title at the age of 16 and went on to earn SEVEN more in various events including the Acapulco Cliff Diving Championships. In addition, he earned SEVEN titles as a World Record Holder (for the highest dive). Today, he is the president of Watershow Productions Inc., the world leader in aquatic entertainment attractions for Theme Parks, Water Parks, Fairs and Corporate events at an array of venues throughout the world.
Dana and long-time friend Dave Lindsay have teamed up once again to form the Kunze Entertaiment Group, LLC. This new joint venture was designed to focus on the historical aspects of the water show business and the sport as well as to develop and enhance their future.
